Iranian Political Studies

Affiliated with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and officially linked to the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Iranian Political Studies (IPS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal committed to advancing rigorous scholarship in political science and international relations, with a primary focus on Iran. The journal serves as a premier platform for academics, researchers, and policymakers to publish innovative research and engage in substantive discourse concerning the complex political dynamics shaping Iran’s domestic landscape and international relations. Our mission is to foster nuanced understanding and facilitate intellectual exchange on a broad range of issues, spanning from historical developments to contemporary policy challenges.

 

Focus and Scope

IPS welcomes original research articles, empirical in-depth case studies, and critical analytical review essays that contribute to the academic understanding of Iran and related fields. While the journal primarily focuses on Iran, it also encourages comparative and theoretical scholarship that contextualizes Iranian political issues within broader regional and global frameworks. Peer Review Process

IPS employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review system to uphold the highest standards of quality, originality, and scholarly significance. Submitted manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team for relevance and suitability. Those meeting the journal’s standards undergo review by at least two independent anonymous experts. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewer recommendations.

 

Open Access Policy

In keeping with the principles of open scholarship, IPS provides immediate open access to all published content. All articles are freely accessible online without subscription or registration barriers, promoting a global exchange of knowledge and advancing academic discourse.
